In other words: Your ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) on any marketing should not be more than what you pay to your OTAs (Online Travel Agents): typically 18%-21%. If your ROAS on a particular marketing option gets too high (i.e., higher than what you pay the OTAs), you should consider spending that money on a new marketing option where it can work harder toward your bottom line. At all times, keep in mind that creating a winning marketing strategy is as much an art as it is a science.
Proving that One-Size-Fits-All Marketing Programs Simply Do Not Work.
“One-Size-Fits-All” marketing programs are more lucrative for the provider, but not necessarily beneficial for the Innkeeper. They’re designed to benefit the provider because it’s easier to do the same thing over and over again for each client, as compared to treating each client as an individual, and applying different strategies in light of each client’s individual needs.
