Spring is a great time for making changes- the fresh breezes and budding plants make one long for the fresh and new. Sue Erwin of Fox Hill Bed & Breakfast and Cottage Suites has a lovely site to launch for spring! This site replaces one that was over a decade old. The clean lines and beautiful photos make the most of her expansive property:
The site is now easy to use and with its connected blog, it's a breeze to add new content. According to Sue, her choice to use Acorn was challenged a bit by the purveyors of the "quick and easy" route:
"Oh, my...we had no idea when we started the process of designing a new website how much was involved. Our original site was developed in 2003; we simply wrote the text, took the pictures, chose some colors and turned it over to the 'web guy'. Fast forward to 2013: We listened in on a number of Acorn webinars, so we now knew there was a lot lurking below the tip of the iceberg and didn't quite believe a few web developers bidding on our new site who insisted 'well, there really isn't much to it, you know; I can have your site up in 2 weeks.' Right.
We are so very glad we chose Acorn, and will tell anyone if you are willing to (1) READ and (2) FOLLOW the structure and forms Acorn has developed, you will get a new site that is fresh, covers everything you need and will hopefully put more heads in beds. It will take just a bit longer than two weeks, but it's worth it."
