Almost a year ago, on April 21st, 2015, Google began using mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal on mobile search results. This first mobile-friendliness release was intended to rank your website based on if it passed Google's Mobile Friendly Test along with other Mobile Factors.
Google said that on April 21, 2015, Google’s mobile ranking factors will not only label your site as mobile-friendly, but will also use that to determine if your site should rank higher in the search results. Google said this algorithmic change will have a “significant impact” in the mobile search results, impacting all languages worldwide.
Google just announced that in May of 2016, they are upping the requirement for all businesses to have a mobile-friendly web presence.
Google has said that "If you've already made your site mobile-friendly, you will not be impacted by this update."
So please, let this be a warning to those Innkeepers out there that have no Mobile Presence what-so-ever. It's past time to invest in a Responsive Mobile / Web design.
