We are nearing the end of 2010, gearing up for all of the holiday fun, but still need to be mindful of the work involved in using a computer. Several programs will not run properly without latest updates for your browser or your other pieces of software. Another big concern is that if you do not update your browser, in particular, you will leave your computer open to viruses and security holes.

Internet Explorer 8 (note: Internet Explorer 9 is now out in Beta (test form). If you like to try new software and don't mind troubleshooting problems you may encounter, this may be for you)
FireFox Version 3.6.12 (this link will allow downloads for Windows, Linux and Mac) Note: If you use Snippetmaster, you need to make sure you download the latest version of FireFox
Software
Java - this software helps your computer run many different programs (including GoToWebinar!) - you should keep it updated.
And, of course, always make sure to keep your anti-virus software up to date.
