On Twitter Webinar August 18, 2009

It was a thorough presentation; dealt with the Twitter potential well, and confirmed that I'm not ready to twit, tweet, twitter, or what ever the latest buzz is on that one. Time remains of the essence. We've decided to continue do what we do well. The whole phenomenon of the social websites is probably a generational thing. I'm happy to learn and be familiar with internet marketing advancements, but I'm not going to attempt to "do it all." I'd like to think we're not alone in this notion. Regardless, we're comfortable with the amount of new business we've been getting, all without Twitter, Facebook or whatever. A nice, recently done website (ala Acorn) has been working for us. We've been responsive to inquiries which seems to be productive.

Imagine our surprise and great pleasure at seeing this. Once again the starting point for our success comes from the point of entry into the Chocolate Turtle experience for our guests - Our wonderful website!! We thank our lucky stars everyday for Acorn. On Blog Webinar July 7, 2009

Extremely helpful. Will try to wade through handouts online to tweak my blog. Since I blog every day, the only thing that I'll not completely adhere to is setting up all of my post titles for SEO. Not because I don't think that it's a good idea but because I want my blog to be readable (and interesting), as well. It might get redundant for me to be using the same high quality search terms in my blog. One of my goals is to paint our area to be so interesting that people will want to learn more and come back to the blog every day and then come here. As you say... "whatever makes you money". I truly appreciate the invitation. Great job.

Thanks!

Annie - I hope you know what a special career you have - and what special people you're working with! Didn't know until yesterday that Sharon had been an innkeeper, too! I think Lisa and Mark are dynamite people. They've been great to our state association and many of the individual inns within our system. . . and I'm one of the their biggest fans. (Love Marian!) This seminar, as all others, was amazing with it's content and accessibility to Lisa's expertise and to have you planning and following up is marvelous. I can't believe that Acorn is willing to "give away" so much knowledge and information! (Something A-COMPETITOR-THAT-WILL-BE-LEFT-UNNAMED NEVER did.) Thanks for a great seminar. I so hope I get to do the next BLOG webinar.
