As you know, Google will be shutting down Universal Analytics on June 30, 2023. As of July 1, 2023, no analytics will be available for your website except GA4.
This change will also affect Google Ads. Google Ads conversions must be updated to GA4 separately. A process exists for doing this which includes a 15-day delay for active ads accounts, therefore you MUST TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY, or you will not have the data you need for your ads account, and you may see a drop in your Ads performance starting on July 1.  If your Ads account is dormant or paused, you still need to do this process in order to keep your data flowing when you restart your ads. 
If you are an Acorn Advantage Plan Level 3-4-5, we have already set up GA4 for you and we have contacted you via email to get the process of connecting your Ads account with GA4 started. Acorn will handle this for you, but you do need to be involved for approvals. This is included as part of your Marketwatch services. If you haven’t responded to that email, please do so right away so no data will be lost.
If you are an Acorn Advantage Plan Level 1-2, we have set up GA4 for you, as a benefit of your Advantage plan, unless you did not give us access to your accounts. We have attempted to reach all our Level 1-2 clients to get this done. If you did not respond, and we do not have access to your Analytics account, this hasn’t been done for you. If you are using Google Ads, you will need to address that separately, as it is not included in your Advantage plan services.
If you are a Pay-as-You-Go client, we did not automatically set up GA4 for you, but we did reach out. If you would like Acorn to complete this for you, please fill out this form:
Level 1-2 and PAYG clients MUST attend the upcoming GA4 webinar to understand what needs to be done to manage Google Ads conversions with GA4. In addition, you will have to get the process started.
