Universal Analytics and E-Commerce Tracking

Universal Analytics has been available for approximately 3 years now. But, Innkeepers haven't been able to successfully use it because the actual Analytics code on your Web site ties to your Reservation System, and it hasn't been until the past few months that we've been able to successfully test with any of the major Reservation companies.

With that said, we are happy to announce that we have successfully tested Universal Analytics and E-Commerce Tracking on 3 of the major Reservation companies.

  • Rezovations
  • Think Reservations
  • RezNexus

So, if you want to be able to track back actual dollars ($$$) from the last place a guest was, before they clicked onto your web site and made a booking, it's time to request an estimate to upgrade your web site to support Universal Analytics with E-Commerce Tracking. E-Commerce Tracking will also provide you "Assisted Conversion" data that will surprise you how many different directories and listings actually "assist" in the conversion, but aren't the last place the guest was before they go to your web site and then book a room.

I can tell you already, without this data, you are going to be wasting money by keeping directory listings you shouldn't be and canceling those that assist you in booking rooms. You simply can't "guess" at this data.

By installing the Universal Analytics version of Google Analytics you will now have real data on which you can make quality decisions.

If you currently have a WordPress Responsive Design, please email MarkHall@acorn-is.com for the estimate. If you have an older non-responsive Design, or are using a Reservation company we have not yet tested, please contact Lisa@acorn-is.com directly to discuss.
